Founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1983 by Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals, Taawon (Welfare Association) was born from a unified vision: to preserve dignity, strengthen human potential, and build durable social institutions.
Created by Palestinians, for Palestinians, Taawon was designed from the start to move beyond emergency response. It invests in people and communities over the long term, guided by a simple idea: that sustainable development rooted in health, education, and social protection is essential to dignity and resilience.
